Laser Paint Removal Machine

Laser cleaning is often used for partial or complete removal of paint layers. Depending on the settings of the laser cleaning device, stripping is possible to the bare surface or only a thin top layer can be removed.

The operation process of laser paint removal is very simple. Most paints and colors are suitable for laser cleaning. The only thing that’s more difficult, is a reflective white paint layer, because it reflects the laser beam instead of absorbing it. The cleaning can then take longer than usual. Laser cleaning can be applied on most surfaces that are able to withstand a temperature of 100°C. Think of wood, stone, concrete, steel, aluminum, etc. In case any rust or another oxide layer has formed under or between the paint layer, this can be removed in one single movement.

The big advantage of laser cleaning is still the fact that all the removed material is immediately collected in an extraction and that there won’t be any wear on the underlying surface. The laser beams make a very selective distinction between old paint and the underlying material thanks to the difference in ablation temperature.
